FLOW Delft 〰️

A student team at TU Delft designing and building an innovative water neutral pavilion at the campus to showcase opportunities of living in symbiosis with water.

What is the FLOW pavilion?

The FLOW Pavilion is an innovative, water-positive structure showcasing sustainable water management practices. It features systems for capturing rainwater, reusing wastewater, and purifying water, demonstrating how buildings can both consume and provide water. In addition to its technological innovations, the pavilion serves as an educational hub, fostering collaboration and partnerships to tackle global water challenges. Located on the TU Delft campus, it addresses local water concerns while offering a scalable model for sustainable water management worldwide.

Current water challenges

In the Netherlands, rising water demand driven by population growth, economic development, and climate change is projected to increase by 7% by 2030. Coupled with plans to build 900,000 new homes, this highlights the urgent need for water-sustainable housing and strategies to reduce water consumption.
